Congress entitled "Books cartoneros: Recycling the publishing landscape in Latin America" \u200b\u200bwill be held on October 8 , 2009 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This congress will held in conjunction with the Wisconsin Book Fair (October 7 to October 11) and represents the first meeting of editors of publishing Cartonera of Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru, Mexico and Chile.

The purpose of the conference and workshops will be offered is to bring together the academic community with members of several publishing projects pickers. Also, the conference will serve to facilitate contact between cartonera community, the general community of Madison and attended the Book Fair Wisconsin.

This conference is open to the general public. There is no cost or pre-registration required.
