Definition:
The term fanfiction or fan fiction (literally "fan fiction" ), often abbreviated simply fanfic or fic , refers to fiction written by fans of a movie, novel, television program or other work.
Some types:
- Angst: Fanfics that describe and focus on the emotional suffering of his protagonist.
- Crossover (X-over): crossovers mixing two or more runs. In it, characters from different works interact.
- Drabble: A Drabble is a story as such should not exceed 100 words. However this definition is accepted and written between 100 and 500/600 words.
- Hurt / Comfort: In this kind of story, a character is physically or emotionally wounded, and another or the same (usually the one who will end up being their interest romantic) must "repair" the damage by offering understanding and tenderness.
- One Shot : Fanfics short, more than 1000 words that last a single chapter.
- songfic : Fanfic Song, a short fanfic inspired or based on a song, more specifically the lyrics of a song, this fanfic shows some scenes of a history according to the lyrics of a song .
- alternate universe: also called "Alternative universe", or simply UA (UA by its acronym in English) are a type of fanfics that use the characters in a series, but placed in a different context or history.

- Slash / Yaoi: romantic relationship between male characters.
- Femslash / Yuri: romantic relationship between female characters.
- Lime / Ecchi: Situations sexual tension and friction very explicit.
- Lemon / Hentai: explicit sexual situations.
